Hip Hop - Lyrical - Choreographer
Hello! My name is Abby Hill. I am originally from Conway, Arkansas. I am recent graduate from University of Arkansas where I majored in Marketing and minored in Finance. I am currently working at JB Hunt as a Logistics Solutions Representative. I have grown up dancing since I was two years old. In high school, I was on the Pom Squad as well as taking from a dance studio and ballet company. I have choreographed throughout the state of Arkansas for various studios. This is my 5th year teaching at Legacy Studio of Performing Arts and it has truly become my favorite place to be over the last 4 years! Every time I step in the door, I get that warm fuzzy feeling. This place and these people are my family and I am forever grateful!
Hello! My name is Emilee Mlakar. I am currently a student at the University of Arkansas and am an active part of Greek life there. I started taking dance when I was 10 years old. I danced at M Collective throughout high school as well as being on the Pom Team. My favorite style is hip-hop. I have experience teaching at my hometown dance studio for 2 years but this is my first year with Legacy Studio of Performing Arts. I am going to be working with the younger children in a variety of styles. I love working with kids and am excited to be a part of helping Legacy and the children here!
Hello! My name is Emily Brewer. I go to school at the University of Arkansas and am majoring in Speech pathology. I am a member of Chi Omega and Children’s Miracle Network volunteer. I attend Fellowship Bible Church and am a part of the student mobilization ministry. I have danced for more than 15 years and have been trained in jazz, lyrical, tap, and contemporary. This is my third year teaching at Legacy Studio of Performing Arts and I mostly teach tap. I look forward to another fun year with the students here at Legacy!
Hello! My name is Hannah Karr. I am originally from Magnolia, Arkansas but am currently attending the University of Arkansas. I am a sophomore with a communication major. I attended Kathy’s Dance Art Studio for 12 years and helped teach there as an assistant for the past 5 years. Last year was my first season with Legacy Studio of Performing Arts when I taught tap and hip hop. Some of my tap groups went on to win choreography and first place awards at the regional competitions we attended. It was a great first year with Legacy and I can’t wait to see what this year holds!
Hello! My name is Hayley Bell. I am originally from Kansas City, Kansas but am currently attending the University of Arkansas studying International Studios with a concentration in peace, security, and human rights. My hope is to go to law school after completing my undergraduate degree. I danced competitively since I was three years old and served as the captain of my varsity drill team in high school. I was a 3 time all American dancer for the National Dance Alliance in high school as well. I have experience choreographing jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and tumbling routines. Last year one of my dances received the “People’s Choice Award” at StarQuest Competition. This is my second year here at Legacy Studio of Performing Arts and I mostly teach jazz, lyrical, contemporary, tumbling, and hip-hop. I am overjoyed to be returning to Legacy for another year!
Hello! My name is Isa Tamburini. I am originally from Kansas City but currently attend University of Arkansas where I am majoring in Communications and minoring in Management. I hope to go into the event planning business one day. I have been dancing for 17 years and teaching/ choreographing dances for the last 6 years. In high school, I was a part of a nationally ranked dance team and was a 4-time NDA All-American dancer. This is my second year teaching at Legacy Studio of Performing Arts. Last year one of my competitive groups won “The Group Excellence Award” over all the other competition at the Mark of Excellence competition. I teach jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, and lyrical. I am excited about year 2 here with your girls!
Hello! My name is Kathy Wheatley. I am happily married to George Wheatley for 46 years. I am the mother to Erin Parker and enjoy my three grands: Wheatley, Reynolds, and Savannah. I started my own studio in Magnolia, Arkansas over 50 years ago and have taught classes from 1968 to present. I began my own dance journey in 1955 and just never quit because I loved it so much. I have been a member of several dance associations throughout the years such as Southern Association of Dance Masters, Oklahoma Dance Masters Association, Texas Association of Dance Masters, and Arkansas Hall of Fame board. I trained three Miss Arkansas’, Top Ten Miss America, and of course Erin is my favorite =). I have been a part of Legacy Studio of Performing Arts since the doors opened and continue to teach tap as well. Ten two letter words that I like to live by are- “If it is to be it is up to me!”
Hello! My name is Macy Moore. I am originally from Keller, Texas and am currently a senior at the University of Arkansas. I am studying Marketing and Spanish but have a passion for dance! I am a member of Pi Betta Phi where I choreographed a dance that won the 2019 Derby Day completion. I have training hip-hop for 11 years starting with a company in Texas. I became captain of my dance team and started teaching in high school. My dance crew performed at Disney World and has earned choreography awards from Monster’s of Hip-Hop in Dallas, Houston, and World of Dance. This is my first year teaching hip-hop at Legacy Studio of Preforming Arts. I am so excited to share my passion with the students here!
Hello! My name is Madalynn Potter. I am originally from lake Village, Arkansas. I am currently a senior at the University of Arkansas, studying communication disorders and human development to become a Speech Therapist. I am also an actively involved with the Diamond Dolls for the Arkansas Razorback baseball team. I began dance at 3 years old with McGee’s School of Dance in Greenmile, Mississippi. I took tap, ballet, jazz, pointe, and acrobatics over the years. I was also a cheerleader throughout junior high and high school, and co-captain my freshman and senior year of high school. I have been at Legacy for 3 years now and teach acrobatic classes for all skill levels as well as all genres for the “junior” company team. I love working with your kids!
Hello! My name is Michelle LeBlanc. I have two children, Winnie and Paul. I have a Master’s degree in dance education from New York University. I teach dance at the University of Arkansas and founded “Move to Wellness”, and adult dance experience for fullness, connection, and healing. I have been teaching dance for over 20 years. I am American Ballet Theatre certified teacher and have a teaching certification in Modern Dance from the Alvin Ailey Dance theatre in NYC in Horton technique. I have partnered with the Joyce Theater and The Whitney Museum in NYC in their dance education department. I also danced professionally for “LaJazdanz” (Jazz dance company) and traveled Europe and the Mediteranian with the USO Organization as a dancer. This is my second year at Legacy Studio of Performing Arts and it has been a joy to grow the ballet and pointe program at this studio.
Hello! My name is Morgan Chudy. I am originally from Little Rock, Arkansas but currently attend the University of Arkansas where I am a junior with a double major in Political Science and Business Marketing. I am also the dance chair for my sorority, Phi Mu. I have danced since I was 3 years old and taken classes in every genre of dance. I started dancing competitively when I was seven years old and attended and placed in lots of regional and national competitions. I was also co-captain of the Pom Squad in high school. This is my second year teaching for Legacy Studio of Performing Arts. Last year a trio that I choreographed won first overall at Mark of Excellence competition. I mostly teach tap and love my job and getting to work with these amazing kiddos every week! I am grateful for the opportunity to be here!
Hello! My name is Sterling Warren. I am originally from North Little Rock, AR but am currently attending the University of Arkansas. I am a senior with a major in finance and a Chi Omega sorority member. I was a competitive dancer at Ms. Karen’s dance studio for 16 years and traveled all over the south to compete growing up. I also love to work with children so it only made sense to continue doing what I love by sharing it with the next generation of dancers! I have taught for about 3 years for Legacy Studio of Preforming Arts and teach jazz, musical theatre, and lyrical. Thank you for trusting your children with me!
Hello! My name is Victoria Nall. I am a senior at the University of Arkansas where I am studying communication with two minors in hospitality and event management. I have danced competitively since I was two years old. I was captain of my 6A state winning dance team all three years in high school. I was also named an All-state and All-star dancer each year of high school. I was also awarded Wendy’s Player of the Year for Dance out of the entire state of Arkansas. The last three years I was a member of the Razorback Pom Squad where I was awarded Teammate of the Year as well as Best Performer and Player of the Year. I am also the dance & Creativity Chair for Chi Omega. I am in charge of 3+ 10 minute productions a year and I am absolutely love it! I am trained in jazz, contemporary, musical theatre, hip-hop, and lyrical. This is my second year with legacy Studio of Performing Arts and I teach primarily hip-hop, musical theatre, and solos in a variety of styles. Dance has forever been my greatest passion and I cannot wait to share that with the students at Legacy!
